Who We Are
Friends of Uncle Mike, Inc. is a charitable 100% non-profit organization in memory of Mike Lynch. Its founding was initiated to emulate his example and lifestyle in spending time and communicating with the youth of today. As a resident of the Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois, he was well known as a neighbor that a young person could sit down with and talk to and discuss the challenges presented in an ever-changing environment. These big brother conversations ranged from education, family crisis, street gangs and economic difficulties. At his passing it was determined his goals and dreams of assisting young people should come to fruition and thus this foundation was created.
A Not for Profit Children's Charitable Organization
Established in 1997, Friends of Uncle Mike, Inc. has helped many families in need since its conception. The primary focus of the foundation is to financially assist families in need with children living with unfortunate medical situations or experienced a life altering event. FOUM has lent a hand to many other families dealing with unexpected hardships or situations. Proceeds that fund this foundation are received through our annual golf outing fundraiser, with 100% of funds given directly back through the organization.
